Schedule Star has been the leader in high school athletic management since our founder, "Sonny" Santorine, introduced the Athletic Director's Big Book in 1964.
Sonny was the athletic director at Midland Park High School in northern New Jersey and saw a need for a standardized method of accurately tracking all the information that is essential to the efficient operation of the athletic department.
Always being on the cutting edge, a software version of the book was introduced in 1988, and by 1992 became "Schedule Star".
The string of firsts continued: 1997 saw the introduction of companion software for the Palm Pilot, and by 1998, schedules were being uploaded to HighSchoolSports.net. The new millennium saw the program go online, and in 2003 was the first completely online offering. That year we also acquired "ACS", Athletic Computing Systems of Indiana, and absorbed our Outlook sync software supplier, Wyncs. In 2008, we welcomed Pontem's All Star Scheduler customers to the Schedule Star family.
Today, Schedule Star is a division of Gannett. Gannett publishes 85 daily newspapers, including USA TODAY, and nearly 850 non-daily publications and operates 23 U.S. television stations. We are taking the next steps in bringing your information to the public and getting your programs and athletes the recognition that they deserve.
